About Mark Labac, President

Mark Labac, P.E., LEED AP, is an experienced mechanical engineer and engineering consultant. For over 17 years, Mark has guided his company’s successful completion of dozens of facility projects in higher education research, healthcare, life sciences and commercial. Edge Mechanical Systems, Inc. is a specialty HVAC manufacturer’s representative that specializes in energy efficient equipment from Accutrol, Antrum, Direct Coil, Ingenia and MeeFog. The rapidly growing business services clients in the company’s territories of Colorado and Wyoming.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University, a Professional Engineer License from Texas, and a LEED AP Accreditation. He is an active member of APPA, ASHRAE, CAHED, ISPE, I2SL and is the President of the Colorado I2SL Chapter. Mark is an industry thought leader who frequently speaks at both the national and local chapters of these associations. Click here to view selected presentations.

Prior to founding Edge Mechanical Systems in Colorado in January 2006, Mark was a sales engineer for six years at a manufacturer’s rep firm in Dallas, Texas. In this role, he represented over twenty-five lines and focused on the laboratory and pharmaceutical markets. Prior to technical sales, Mark was a consulting engineer for ten years in Dallas, Texas. He worked at large engineering/architectural firms, including Carter & Burgess and Lockwood, Greene & Co., where he specialized in industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and laboratory design. During college, Mark also worked for the consulting engineer firms Fanning, Fanning & Associates and Page Southerland Page.

Today, Mark resides in Golden, Colorado with his wife Shelly. When not hard at work, you can find Mark enjoying the outdoors, hunting, four-wheeling or volunteering his time with Colorado 4X4 Rescue and Recovery to help folks who get stranded in their vehicles.
